1-8 zinc plated steel wedge anchors, also known as anchor bolts or expansion anchors, are designed to provide a reliable and secure fastening solution for anchoring materials and equipment to concrete and masonry surfaces. The wedge anchors consist of carbon steel with an expansion clip, hex nut, and flat washer attached. The zinc plated finish offers corrosion resistance in dry, indoor environments.
To install, start by drilling a hole into the base material using a carbide-tipped drill bit. Then, insert the anchor through the fixture and into the hole. Finally, tighten the nut to expand the clip against the walls of the hole. This expansion provides a strong, secure hold in the concrete or masonry.

Do not use these Grade 5 zinc plated anchors outdoors or in wet environments as they can rust. Rusting may occur in those conditions. For outdoor or damp installations, consider using hot-dip galvanized or stainless steel wedge anchors instead.
