Copper Battery Cable Terminals for Solid Power Connections
Copper battery terminals provide a high-conductivity interface between stranded battery cable and posts, studs, or distribution hardware. Use them to build dependable starter, ground, and accessory circuits in automotive, marine, RV, solar, and equipment systems.
High Conductivity Copper bodies help minimize voltage drop on high-amp circuits.
Secure Cable Attachment Deep barrels accept fine-strand cable for strong mechanical and electrical crimps.
Post & Stud Compatibility Options for top-post, stud/marine, and accessory connections.
Corrosion Protection Choices Plain copper or tinned copper selections for moisture-prone installs.
Service Friendly Designed for quick inspection, cleaning, and replacement during maintenance.
Tool Compatible Works with specified indent/hex/dieless crimp tools for the cable gauge.
How to Select a Battery Terminal
Match the terminal to your cable, connection point, and environment.
Choose the connection style: top-post clamp, stud/marine style, or ring/stud adapter as required.
Select the cable gauge (AWG) to fit your stranded battery cable.
Pick the post/stud size that matches your battery, switch, or bus bar hardware.
Decide on finish: tinned copper where added corrosion resistance is desired (e.g., marine/condensing environments).
Confirm tooling—use the crimp profile and die size specified for the terminal and cable.
Common Applications
Starter and alternator leads
Chassis grounds and bonding
Marine batteries, inverters, and switch panels
RV/solar banks, winches, and power distribution blocks
Installation & Safety
Disconnect the negative cable first; reconnect it last.
Strip to the correct length, insert fully, and crimp with the specified die until the full profile is achieved.
Seal with heat-shrink (adhesive-lined where needed) and route cables with strain relief.
Apply dielectric grease, torque hardware to spec, and protect with terminal boots.
Observe polarity marks and cable color coding during assembly.
