Wisewrap Deck Joist Tape creates a waterproof seal to protect wooden components from moisture which causes wood rot and can significantly shorten the life of your deck. Joist Tape is commonly applied to the top of decking joists, over ledger boards, and around support posts. This tape creates a waterproof seal to hinder rot and decay. Wisewrap Joist Tape by DeckWise is a self-sealing malleable polyethylene waterproof wood flashing material, using a rubberized asphalt mastic adhesive. WiseWrap joist tape has excellent gripping adhesive which can be placed on the support structure of a deck to protect it from moisture. The support structure is typically the entry point for water in a wooden deck, causing it to rot and decay.
