The epoxy stoppers, or also know as retaining caps make overhead and horizontal anchor installation easier by keeping the adhesive in the hole until cured. The stopper helps to center the epoxy applicator in the center of the drilled hole. This ensures accurate application and reduces the possibility of air pockets or voids when installing adhesives into drilled holes.
The stopper provides temporary support but is not meant to bear the weight of the anchor in overhead positions. You should remove the stopper before inserting the anchor rod/rebar once the adhesive has cured sufficiently.
