The Blue Banger Hanger® Pour In Place (PIP) insert from Aerosmith® is a poured-in-place anchor used on wood form poured concrete decks. These new inserts save money and time when workers put them in before pouring concrete. They are strong and can support hanging things overhead.
To use the hanger, hit the top with a hammer. Push the three nails into the material until they are flush with the bottom. After the concrete hardens and the forms are stripped, you can easily remove the nails - it's that simple.
The design allows using different sizes of threaded rods without needing couplings, which reduces the need for extra inventory. You can change rod sizes even after installing the inserts.
A plastic sleeve creates a countersunk recess to protect the threads and keep them clean during the pour. The new slurry seal also safeguards the internal threads from concrete intrusion. Color-coded seals identify the insert when used by multiple trades.
