Stainless Steel Threaded Rod in 3-foot lengths is used to stabilize or hang structures often with the use of anchors. Threaded Rod in this selection is UNC Coarse threaded in 3-foot segments. UNC Coarse stainless steel threaded rod is less likely to cross thread during application and is more tolerant in adverse conditions. With a lower TPI (Threads per Inch) there is more material between the threads, making it exceedingly difficult to strip or cross-thread during installation. Additionally, UNC Coarse threaded stainless rods are easier to start threading in comparison to fine thread and can require less time to tighten, especially in awkward locations or positions. Due to the end to end coarse threading, stainless steel threaded rod provides significant grip strength and distributes tension evenly when mounting or securing additional components.
The composition of chromium and nickel in 18-8 stainless steel threaded rods provide an incredible resistance to corrosion and oxidation, making this three-foot rod suitable for wet or humid environments. These characteristics make 18-8 stainless steel rods a perfect fit for building infrastructure projects like air conditioning, sprinkler systems, and pipe lines where moisture can be present.
Plumbing and other miscellaneous contracting projects rely on threaded rods as they allow for a quick level or the gentle sloping required for ductwork, heating systems, or suspended ceilings. Depending on the end use, 3’ threaded rods can be cut to size as the coarse threading persists throughout the entire length.
Due to the extended dimensions of the required shipping containers, threaded rod is not eligible for Free or Express Shipping.
