Fresh Water Corrosion Resistant Split Pins

  • 1/8"
  • Made of corrosion resistant 304 Stainless steel
  • Used to prevent accidental loosening of fasteners

1/8" Stainless Steel Cotter Pins are pins that are inserted into a hole and then bent into a deformed shape to prevent them from falling out. This technique is considered a locking mechanism and is commonly used with castle nuts in places where vibration is likely to loosen a nut over time. A cotter pin is also often referred to as a split pin.

304 Stainless Steel Cotter Pins are commonly used with 304 Stainless Steel Castle Nuts to prevent the nut from vibrating loose.
