DIY Washer Snowman Family Shadow Box

Materials Needed
Base Materials:
- Holiday wrapping paper (9" x 12")
- Black construction paper (for hats)
- Red ribbon (12" long)
- White ribbon (12" long) or artificial snow
- Twine (for arms)
- Glue stick (optional)
- E6000 or Gorilla Glue
- Shadow box (9" x 12")

Adults:
- 1 - 5/8" Flat Washer (ACF SKU 1000-105202)
- 1 - 1/2" Flat Washer (ACF SKU 1000-105182)
- 1 - 3/8" Flat Washer (ACF SKU 1000-105162)
Children:
- 1 - 3/8" Flat Washer (ACF SKU 1000-105162)
- 1 - 5/16" Flat Washer (ACF SKU 1000-105152)
- 1 - 1/4" Flat Washer (ACF SKU 1000-105142)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1:
Prepare Your Background
Position your shadow box back and cover with holiday wrapping paper. Secure with glue stick (or anyother glue you chose to use), ensuring smooth application.
Step 2:
Plan Your Family
Arrange washers to form your snowman family before gluing. Each person uses 3 washers in descending size.
Step 3:
Create the Snow Base
Choose either white ribbon or artificial snow for the ground. If using ribbon, glue it below your arranged family. If using artificial snow, apply after completing the snowmen.
Step 4:
Assemble and Decorate
- Glue washers in place using E6000 or Gorilla Glue
- Add twine arms
- Create red ribbon bows for girls
- Add scarves for boys
- Cut and attach black paper hats
- Feel free to mix up the apparel!
Pro Tip: Lay out your family and play with the order you put them in. Use different washer sizes for parents to make mom smaller than dad. This craft makes a great gift for grandparents!
