A low profile lock nut used for fastening to a bolt when mechanically joining materials together. The nylon material located at the top of the nut prevent loosening from vibration. A heavy nylon insert jam nut is thicker and wider than a standard nylon jam nut, used for more heavy-duty applications.
Heavy nylon insert jam nuts in this selection are case-hardened (CR+3) Zinc Plated Grade A Steel. This adds a layer of protection to the fastener and increases its durability.
