Stainless Steel Thread Inserts

Stainless steel thread inserts are inserts designed to be driven into metal. These inserts have exterior cutting threads that cut into the metal to provide a strong hold. A bolt or screw is then driven into the internal threads. They are commonly used to keep a screw from entering at an off centered angle. Stainless steel threaded inserts can also be used in areas where the bolt needs to be removed often. This can help to prevent thread erosion or stripping. They require a pre-drilled hole and can be driven with a E-Z LOK tool or a slotted head screwdriver.
