SEMS Screws (also commonly known as SEM Screws) are essentially a machine screw with an integrated free-spinning lock washer. A SEM screw is manufactured as one part and comes pre-assembled, to save time and hassle during installation. A SEM screw can take the place of a machine screw with a lock washer. Because SEMS Screws have the washer attached, they are also commonly referred to as lock screws or locking screws. An integrated lock washer below the head of the screw allows for fast installation, permanence, and easy adaptability to many applications.
