Phillips Pancake Head Sheet Metal Screws feature an ultra low profile head, creating a sleek, finished look to the fastener assembly. They are threaded from the tip to the undercut or head of the screw. Sheet metal screws make excellent fasteners for attaching metal hardware to wood because the fully threaded shank provides good retention in wood but are not reccomended if removal is neccessary. The pancake name comes from the screws low profile once installed. They are valued for both their decorative and practical reasons.
