Tamper Proof Socket Head Screws and Matching Security Bits
Pin in Grub screws are used in any installation where a flush surface and security are required. With grub security screws you get the advantage of no head being eposed on the screw. They are driven by hex socket drive with a pin hole in the center. The pin that sticks out of the drive in the head of the screw is used to keep other drive styles and gripping devices from removing the screw.
Tamper Proof Screws, also known as Tamper Resistant Screws or Security Screws, are used to deter vandals and help prevent fastener disassembly after installation. Tamper Proof Fasteners in this selection feature a Hex or Socket head drive with a central pin that prevents installation or disassembly with a standard hex bit or allen wrench. In general, tamper proof fasteners are designed to be difficult, if not impossible, to remove without the corresponding tamper proof bit.
