Grade 8 Yellow Zinc Fasteners - Nuts, Washers, Bolts & Screws. These fasteners are heat treated to harden the metal. Grade 5 Zinc Fasteners are partially treated, whereas our stock of Grade 8 Yellow Zinc fasteners are thru heated to maximize its hardness. This treatment also adds a superior corrosion resistant finish to the fasteners, to the extent that they are even used for armored vehicle parts. ASTM B633-13 Compliant fasteners distinguished as Grade 8 by the hash marks on the head of the fastener.

These fasteners are thru heated Grade 8 Steel with a CR+3 Zinc plating.
