Forged Industrial Eye Nuts in a Variety of Styles and Finishes
Forged Eye Nuts - A fastener with a ring for a head, designed to receive a hook or a rope, cable, or chain. Often used to lift heavy equipment vertically, but are not recommended for angular lifting. They are typically used as attachments to equipment for transportation purposes that could not be moved by hand.
Eye nuts from Albany County Fasteners are Drop Forged, Passivated and Electropolished for a durable corrosion resistant finish. Forged eye nuts are available in C1030 carbon steel (self colored), zinc plated steel, hot dipped galvanized steel, C1045 Carbon steel, 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel.
Eye nuts come in several styles:
- Style A Eye Nuts are the standard featuring internal threading and a looped head.
- Style B Eye Nuts come in larger sizes and feature a thicker and more heavy duty looped head and bell. They possess higher load capacities than other types of the same sizes.
- Style D Eye Nuts only come in 7/8"-9 and 1"-8 sizes (or their equivalent) and feature a smaller bell and large internal diameter length.
