316 Stainless Steel Decking Framing Angles
316 Stainless Steel Framing Angles for Decking Applications
Framing angles, or angled framing anchors, are typically corner pieces in design and are used to connect joists, studs, or rafters, to perpendicular beams. In light wood-frame construction, they often support the joists that connect to a wood beam or girder in the event that a joist hanger can't be used.
Framing Angles come in multiple varieties (shown in order of appearance):
- The MP34 is the standard multi-purpose framing angle. It's the smallest of our selection making it well suited for attaching smaller joists.
- The MPA1 is a multi-purpose framing angle featuring bendable tabs on one end and a reversable design. These tabs enable two-way and three-way connections, allowing for a wide range of applications. Note: Bend Tabs Only Once.
- The MP5 is a skewable framing angle featuring a perforated corner. It can be field adjusted from 0-degree to 135-degree to fit a range of angles (comes fabricated at a 100-degree angle). Note: Bend Angle Only Once.
While each may be different, they all share the same basic function of connecting joists to studs, beams, and rafters.
All framing angles in this selection are made of 316 Stainless Steel for superior corrosion resistance. 316 Stainless Steel is well suited for applications in severe, harsh, or marine environments. Should only be installed with 316 Stainless Steel Nails to maintain product warranty. The number of holes in a given framing anchor dictate the amount of nails expected to be used to make a secure connection.
