Zinc Plated Steel Fasteners
Zinc Fasteners - Nuts, Washers, Bolts & Screws in Zinc Plated Steel - These fasteners are zinc plated steel in Grade A, Grade 2 and Grade 5.
Zinc finish fasteners include: Carriage Bolts, Coupling Nuts, Wedge Anchors, Concrete Anchors, Flat Washers, Lock Washers, Lock Nuts, T Nuts, Sheet Metal Screws, and many more.
Each fastener in this variety is zinc plated (CR+3) steel to offer corrosion resistance. Each may be a varying grade of steel (beneath the plating) that undergoes a different finishing process. The grade of steel determines the strength of the steel, capacity and load strength.
Grade A Steel is a case hardened low or medium carbon steel. Fasteners in this metal have no head markings.
Grade C Steel is a thru hardened medium carbon steel. Fasteners in this metal have no head markings. The finish is equivalent to a grade 8, but without the yellow color.
Grade 2 Steel is a low or medium case hardened carbon steel. Fasteners in this metal have no head markings.
Grade 5 Steel is a medium carbon steel that is heat treated to increase the metal's hardness. Fasteners in this metal are distinguished by the three hash marks on the head of the part.
