Shoulder Pattern Eye Bolts

Forged Eye Bolts - An eye bolt is a threaded rod with a ring for a head. In a shoulder pattern Eye Bolt, the ring is used to hold a fitting or a load, commonly seen in industrial applications. Shouldered eye bolts are eyebolts are used to secure an eye to a structure so that a rope, cable or other fixture may be attached to it. The shoulder of an eye bolt makes the bolt stronger, the shoulder provides additional bolt strength. When a bolt fails, it typically fails at the thread, a bolt with a shoulder will not fail as easily as a plain eye bolt. Forged eye bolts are stronger than bent eye bolts, and often used in higher loads as they can hold more tensile strength than bent eye bolts. Typically used as lifting hardware.
